oaSES-09 Released

oaSES-09 was officially released as scheduled last week. It is the result of many months of development work and testing by the oaSES team and includes many great contributions from our exisitng clients and also providers we've spoken to at meetings and conferences around the country.

A Great FL Summit for SES (and oaSES)

A team from oaSES attended the 2008 Florida NCLB School Choice Leadership Summit which completed today in Orlando. The FL DOE team again organized a well run and informative Summit and it provided invaluable assistance for last minute feature ideas in oaSES-09.

We discussed and demonstrated the new oaSES-09 system with our current clients and many other interested providers. We'd like to thank our current clients for their time and warmly welcome all the providers that signed up with oaSES at the Summit. You'll shortly be getting your Welcome Pack and access to our support and training resouces.

US DOE - Interim Report on Choice & SES

In April 2008 the US Department of Education released their Interim Report on School Choice and Supplemental Educational Services. The report is based on data from the 2003-04 and 2004-05 school years. Key findings include low participation rates amongst eligible students primarily attributed to lack of available options, timing of parent notifications and communication problems with parents.
